At the time of writing the tour of Smithfield Market has taken place, more of which later in the Newsletter, but we have yet to enjoy Andrew’s recital after which the next event in July will be the annual Summer Party. This means once the party is over that my year as Chairman is drawing to a close and I shall be handing over the reins to Stewart Norman at the AGM on 18 September. Please make a note of this date in your diary. More details will be sent out in due course.

I am sure that many of you will have seen that Tom Hoffman, Deputy for Vintry Ward, was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours for services to secondary and tertiary education and his commitment to supporting the arts in London.
