Celebration of Dick Whittington on the 600th anniversary of his death – To celebrate his life and achievements, there was a service at St Michael Paternoster Royal commemorating the 600th anniversary of his death on Tuesday 14th March 2023 at 2pm. This was followed by two presentations about the life and work of Whittington. Professor Caroline Barron will speak on the topic, “Richard Whittington : The Man behind the Pantomime” and Professor Carolyn Roberts will talk about “Leaving a legacy of good hygiene and toilets“.
